Law Enforcement Split Worries Over RNC, Isaac

Representatives of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies are keeping a close eye on both last-minute preparations for the Republican National Convention and the path of Tropical Storm Isaac.

John Joyce, who leads the U.S. Secret Service's Tampa office, said the possibility of a hurricane has always been part of their planning for the Convention.

“But now that it’s actually out there spinning, it definitely gives you a little bit more of a pucker effect of ‘Okay, we might actually have to implement some of the planning that we discussed."
