Gag Grouper Season Begins in Four Counties This Sunday

Four Florida counties will open their waters to gag grouper harvesting this Sunday. A whole two months ahead of the rest of the state.

This Sunday, Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson, and Taylor Counties will open their waters to recreational gag grouper harvesting. The region will keep its waters open until June 30.

Gag grouper season in the remainder of the Gulf opens June 1.

The four counties will have their waters reopen for recreational harvesting on September 1 st, and will close Dec 31.
