Bitcoin enthusiasts from around the world made their way to Miami Beach this past weekend for the North American Bitcoin Conference. The digital currency has made waves among entrepreneurs who want to do business internationally. Moe Levin organized the event. He says Miami was the best place to hold the conference because of its access to international trade.
"It’s a real international center. And Bitcoin is the perfect opportunity", Levin said. "I think it’s going to impact the landscape. The innovation people are talking about… Really exciting times."
Just under three dozen businesses in South Florida already accept Bitcoin, and users of the digital currency are hopeful this number will rise.
