The National Education Association’s annual meeting runs from June 26 – July 6 in Denver.  The NEA’s representative assembly is the largest democratic body on the planet, bringing together nearly 9,000 education stakeholders from across the country including members of the Florida Education Association.  WGCU’s John Davis caught up with the state-wide teacher union’s Vice President, Joanne McCall, for a look at some of this year’s hot-button issues including school safety, student and teacher evaluations, and the transition to common core state standards.
