First Presidential Face-off Offers Lessons for Lynn U. Debate Organizers

There was some serious note-taking at Lynn University during the first Presidential debate of 2012 – and not all of it was about the state of the economy or the future of Medicare.

The third and final face-off between President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney will take place on the school’s Boca Raton campus. And Lynn’s Public Relations Director Joshua Glanzer says last night’s debate at the University of Denver offers students a preview of what they can expect.

“Then there’s gonna be people like me who work for the school who are gonna be fascinated to see the technicalities of it”, said Glanzer. “What kind of shots do they use? Are they using B-roll of the school beforehand? What do their cutaways look like? All that kind of stuff.”

19-year-old Lynn sophomore Robbie Walsh was in the audience last night during the university’s debate watch party.

He said, “I think they’re gonna be watching it very closely. But I do think, you know, we have our own style of doing the debate. I think Lynn’s done a great job preparing for this debate.”

The second Presidential debate at Long Island’s Hofstra University on October 16th will follow a town-hall style format. The one being hosted by Lynn University on October 22nd will focus on foreign policy.
