Governor Rick Scott has taken his share of criticism for cutting back on environmental protection and being pro business. But recently the Governor has announced plans to increase spending on environmental projects like Everglades preservation and cleaning up Florida's springs. He even praised EPA officials for working with him.
The governor said, "recently Florida has successfully reduced the environmental permitting time to just two days."
