Central Floridians who were in Boston for the marathon are still trying to process what happened after yesterday's deadly bombing as they make their way home today. Orlando resident Casey O’Donnell was sitting in a pub about 50 feet from the finish line when he heard the first explosion. He says he thought it was some kind of pyrotechnic display to celebrate the race, but the second explosion made it clear something was going on.
"I was able to look out the window of the pub, people were just plowing down the street, you could smell the smoke, you could smell the gunpowder", O’Donnell said.
O'Donnell says everyone was held in the pub until the situation was secured. He says the explosions left him and his wife so shaken that they didn’t want to return to their hotel because their room was on the 29th floor.
