The Blue Diamond Gallery

The Lee County Clerk of Court has more than $300,000 waiting to be claimed at their office.

According to the Clerk’s Office, the unclaimed money comes from uncashed checks for participating in jury duty, refunds of veterinary or ambulatory services, utility deposits and credit balances, tax deed and foreclosure sales and more.

The Clerk’s Office has lists of about 900 claims for individuals as well as businesses that can be found by vistiting the Unclaimed Monies webpage.  The amounts range from $1 to more than $100,000.

The deadline to collect funds is March 27, 2020. Funds not collected by that date will be forfeited to the state.
