More police departments in Florida are looking into and acquiring body cameras. In Southwest Florida, both the City of Sarasota and Fort Myers Police recently announced they’re equipping officers with the devices. Departments say the cameras will offer better accountability for both officers and citizens.
But, the technology is new and departments are grappling over how to form policies around the cameras. We take a look at some of the concerns that come with officers wearing body cameras.
