The Alliance for the Arts in Lee County serves as a kind of regional hub for arts and culture in Southwest Florida. The Alliance’s 10-acre campus hosts more than 100 theatrical performances a year as well as music concerts, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, festivals, a green market, classes for art enthusiasts of all ages and mediums and much more. This season Alliance for the Arts staff are working to facilitate an ambitious schedule of events including the “Arts On Tap” indoor pub crawl Oct. 20 and performances in November of August Wilson’s play, “Seven Guitars.” We’ll explore this seasons art offerings at the Alliance with Director of Operations and Education Brandi Couse. We’ll also speak with Sonya McCarter who is directing performances of the play “Seven Guitars.”
