The November 6th general election is now just over three weeks away and today we kick off a series of interviews with the Republican and Democratic nominees for Florida cabinet positions and the candidates vying to represent Southwest Florida districts in the U.S. House of Representatives. State Rep. Matt Caldwell, R-North Fort Myers, recently stopped by our studios. Caldwell is vying to be the state’s next Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services. He’s running against Democratic candidate Nicole “Nikki” Fried. We’ll learn about his background, his eight years representing Northern Lee County in the Florida House and his perspective on hot-button issues ranging from Everglades restoration and water quality to firearm regulations, voting rights, medical marijuana and much more.
