State Health officials, Thursday, reported a new record high number of COVID-19 cases documented in a single day since the pandemic began.The Florida Department of Health reported 3,207 new cases of the virus, June 18, bringing the statewide total to 85,926 cases.State health officials also reported 43 new coronavirus-related deaths, Thursday, increasing the statewide death toll to 3,061 fatalities including 1,612 deaths in long-term care facilities.

Saturday's 2,581 new cases set a new record for highest number of new cases reported in a single day. The 2,016 cases reported by the Florida Department of Health, Sunday, brings the statewide total to 75,568 cases.With the exception of last Monday, the number of new cases reported in Florida each day has been over 1,000 since June 3rd.
