Ann Romney Campaigns for her husband in Ft. Myers

Gage Skidmore

Ann Romney, the wife of Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has been campaigning in Florida this week.   On Thursday she made a stop at the Lee Memorial Health System’s Regional Cancer Center.  Ann Romney is a breast cancer survivor.  She told WINK News  she was impressed by collaborative approach to breast cancer treatment at the Lee Center.

“I was very interested to see how a program like this in a community makes it easier for people that are diagnosed because they can have a lot of their treatment in one place with a lot of input from different doctors,” Romney said.  “And in seeing this I learned that their outcomes are even better.”

Romney said she was particularly admired the bird’s eye view patients receiving treatment have of a nearby hawk’s nest.  She said life on the campaign trail is tiring but also fulfilling.
