Former President Bill Clinton was on a whirlwind tour of Florida today – campaigning for President Barack Obama. Stops included Ft. Myers in addition to Lake Worth and St. Petersburg. Clinton told Floridians that President Obama has the right stuff to keep the nation moving in the right direction.
“Essentially what President Obama is saying is I’m always willing to work with Republicans. I worked with Gov. Christie in New Jersey on Sandy, I tried to work with them on the budget, I tried to work with them on healthcare. And, what they’re saying is we’ll work with Democrats if you put us in charge,” Clinton said.
GOP Challenger Mitt Romney and President Obama have both campaigned vigorously in Florida. With 29 electoral votes, it is the largest swing state. The latest poll shows the two in a dead heat.
