Rubio Promises to Vote Against Debt Limit Increase

Florida Senator Marco Rubio says he won't vote to raise the debt limit.

The Republican and possible presidential candidate says fears of a debt crisis discourage investment and innovation and slow the economy.

Rubio addressed a conference Friday in Orlando of the right-leaning Americans for Prosperity Foundation.

"I will not vote to raise the debt limit unless it comes with a balanced budget amendment, and I will not vote to raise the debt limit unless we face this debt problem once and for all", sadi Rubio.

Florida Governor Rick Scott also spoke at the conference. Scott announced he would work to cut taxes and fees in the next fiscal year by a half-billion dollars.
