Two renowned scientists, Henry Pollack, Professor Emeritus of Geophysics at the University of Michigan and Pier Vallinga, professor in climate change and flood risk at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, speak on rising sea levels. The moderator is Eckerd Professor of Marine Science and Chemistry Dr. David Hastings. The pair spoke recently at New College in Sarasota and at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. They were co-authors in the assessment reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
