Earlier this year, the Lee County Homeless Coalition conducted its annual homeless census, which found nearly 850 homeless individuals and families. Experts said obtaining a true count is extremely difficult and the actual number of homeless living in the region could be in the thousands. We’ll take a closer look at the prevalence of homelessness in the region and efforts to address the problem, including a campaign to end homelessness among Veterans by 2015.
