As members of the Lee County Homeless Coalition begin the process of establishing a new homeless shelter, they’re looking to the expertise of nationally recognized consultant Robert Marbut, Ph.D. Marbut’s research methods have included posing as a homeless person to integrate into their communities and better understand their perspective. We’ll explore the unique approach he’s brought to reducing rates of homelessness in communities around the county including Sarasota, St. Petersburg and the Florida Keys.
