Theater troupes from around the world will converge on Sarasota for the American Association of Community Theatre’s“WorldFest,” June 16-21. The festival is hosted by the Venice Theatre, brings together community theater groups for a week of workshops and performances by award winning theater troops from 16 different countries. Organizers expect participants will converge on Sarasota from at least 44 states and 25 countries around the world. The event will mark the second time the festival has come to the Venice Theatre. We’ll explore the aim of the festival and highlight of its anticipated performances.
