Educational Psychologist Dr. Michele Borba Presents at FGCU's Caring for Kids Conference

Florida Gulf Coast University is hosting a three-day conference this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday dedicated to the mental health and well-being of children and young adults. The Caring for Kids conference features two presentations by parenting expert and empathy advocate Dr. Michele Borba. Dr. Borba is an educational psychologist, public speaker, and best selling author. Her latest book is “Unselfie: Why empathetic kids succeed in our all-about-me world.”

Dr. Borba will be a featured presenter at FGCU’s Caring for Kids conference. Her Presentation on Raising Unselfies is Thursday, November 7 at 7:00pm in the Black Box Theatre at Bonita High School. It’s free and aimed primarily at parents, but all are welcome.

And then on Friday the 8 she’ll be presenting a longer workshop mostly for counselors about Educating for Empathy. That’s in the Florida Gulf Coast University Cohen Center Ballroom from 8:00am to 2:30pm. This is all part of the FGCU College of Education's 9th Annual Child and Youth Mental Health 'Caring for Kids' Conference.
