  • Thursday marked another record high day for coronavirus-related deaths in Florida with health officials reporting 156 fatalities. Thursday’s deaths mark an 18 percent increase over the previous single-day high of 132 deaths reported Tuesday.The statewide death toll now stands at 4,782 fatalities. Florida's seven-day average for deaths grew to more than 95 a day, Thursday, which is more than double the daily death average less than two weeks ago.
  • Thursday marked a single-day high for the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Florida. State Health officials reported 120 deaths July 9 for a statewide total of 4,111 fatalities.The Florida Department of Health added 8,935 new cases of COVID-19, Thursday, for a total of 232,718 cases. Wednesday marked the 15th consecutive day of single-day increases of at least 5,000 cases of the virus.The Florida Department of Health also reported another 48 coronavirus-related deaths, Wednesday, bringing the statewide death toll to 3,889 fatalities.Florida has seen more than 162,000 new cases of the virus since phase two of Governor Ron DeSantis' reopening plan went into effect June 5.

July 4 marked a new one-day record of 11,445 cases of the virus.Sunday marked the 12th consecutive day the Florida Department of Health reported more than 5,000 cases in a single day.
