Job demand in Florida is high. Department of Equal Opportunity says it’s the highest recorded data for Florida in the month of May since 2005.
Executive Director Jesse Panuccio believes that reflects a complete rebounding of the state’s economy.
“The more job ads you have, the better it is for that number of people that are unemployed,” Panuccio says. “Because that means it would be easier for them to find a job. And it also means that the better the job the more it is for wage competition.”
Job Demand is the number of job opportunities available. The Conference Board’s Help Wanted Online reports there are nearly 284,000 job openings in the state.
