State Board of Education Approves School Grade 'Safety Net'

Some Florida Schools will get a break when the Department of Education issues grades later this year.

Tuesday the State Board of Education approved a temporary rule which prevents schools from dropping more than one letter grade. But some board members say the change will sugarcoat low-performing schools.
