If you watched the Masters golf tournament, you might have noticed oil company ExxonMobil selling something different – education standards known as Common Core.

But opponents in seven states have tried to stop Common Core from taking effect . Florida has its critics, too. As StateImpact Florida’s John O’Connor reports, they find themselves outmatched -- for now.
