Biden in Ft. Pierce

Vice President Joe Biden stopped in Ft. Pierce on Friday during a campaign swing through
the state.

Many in the crowd waved blue signs reading “forward” with the O in that word being the familiar logo President Obama uses for his campaign. While waiting for the VP, chants of “four more years” swept the Lincoln Park Academy school auditorium.

Principal Allen Cox says the students were fascinated by the presence of Secret Service and law enforcement.

“It’s election season, so that’s part of our curriculum”, said Cox. “We talk about voting, voting rights, the parties –all of that. It’s very non-partisan, but we inform the students of everything they need to know.

Many students were in the crowd as Mr. Biden hammered home the importance of women’s issues and education funding as well as tax relief for the middle class.
