Wikimedia Creative Commons

According to a new a report, Florida has the 37th highest adult obesity rate in the country - up from its previous ranking of 40th.

Rich Hamburg is deputy director of Trust For America's Health. He says over the years, there have been no "major changes" in rankings among the states."So that means you know, no one's ignoring all that needs to be done and no one's doing anything dramatically different than other states", said Hamburg. "Although we see some clear movement in the right direction in some states, in the wrong direction for others, but you know, no one's jumped from 50th to 30th or anything like that."

The obesity rate among Florida's adults is 26.4%.

Mississippi and West Virginia are tied for the highest rate, at 35.1%
