Although he remained in power for less than two years, his military regime was responsible for the deaths or disappearances of tens of thousands of indigenous Mayan Indians. Facing charges of genocide and crimes against humanity, we’ll take a look at the latest from the Rios Montt trial and a look back at what really happened in our conversation with two anthropology professors who’ve worked to document the stories of survivors and exhume the graves of victims.
