Whether a hurricane hits Florida or not this year, officials in Tallahassee have already experienced a storm. A simulated one, that is.

The last direct hit from a hurricane in our state was nearly ten years ago. Despite this record-setting stretch, Bryan Koon, the Florida director of emergency management says the state is ready.
