Florida's Amendment 4 Takes Effect Today

Amendment 4, which allows more than a million ex-felons in Florida to register to vote, takes effect today - but officials are torn. Supporters of the amendment call it self-executing, which means the amendment was written without input or direction from the state legislature. Some state officials, like Gov.-elect Ron DeSantis, disagree. The amendment passed with support from more than two-thirds of Florida voters.
