Robbie Gaffney is a recent graduate from Florida State University with degrees in Digital Media Production and Creative Writing. Before working at WFSU, they recorded FSU’s basketball and baseball games for Seminole Productions as well as interned for the PBS Station in Largo, Florida. Robbie loves playing video games such as Shadow of the Colossus, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Their other hobbies include sleeping and watching anime.

Moody says the calls are going out from people pretending to be contact tracers to get personal details from victims. She's advising people to verify that contact tracing calls are coming from county health departments. -
State Health officials, Thursday, reported a new record high number of COVID-19 cases documented in a single day since the pandemic began.The Florida Department of Health reported 3,207 new cases of the virus, June 18, bringing the statewide total to 85,926 cases.State health officials also reported 43 new coronavirus-related deaths, Thursday, increasing the statewide death toll to 3,061 fatalities including 1,612 deaths in long-term care facilities. -
State health officials reported 617 new cases of COVID-19, Tuesday, bringing the statewide total number of confirmed cases to 57,447.The Florida Department of Health also reported 70 new coronavirus-related deaths, June 2, for a statewide death toll of 2,530 fatalities. Tuesday’s reported deaths mark the highest single-day increase in fatalities since May 5.In total, Florida has had 10,412 patient hospitalizations due to the virus. Of the 1,050,671 tests that have been performed in the state so far, the rate of positive tests remains at 5.5 percent. -
