Boil Water Alert

A Code Red message from the Town of Fort Myers Beach announced the boil water advisory Monday afternoon. Wednesday the town lifted the advisory.

The Punta Gorda City Utilities Department will be connecting water mains at Knollwood, Pinecrest, Worchester, Burning Tree and Indian Creek requiring water to be turned off during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 20, and March 21.

Fort Myers Beach utility officials said it is recommended that water be boiled for several minutes in advance of consumption or use.
