Earlier this month, Gulf Coast Live talked about the Critical Thinking Lecture Series taking place at Florida SouthWestern State College throughout the month of October.

While most of the lecturers have focused on modern thought in the "fake news" era, the closer for the series will focus on the past.

Adrian Kerr is the director of corporate training at FSW. He is a respected lecturer on ancient civilizations and a published author of two books on Ancient Egypt.

Kerr joins Gulf Coast Live before his upcoming Oct. 24 lecture, "Critical Thinking in Ancient Egypt," to answer some burning questions about how Ancient Egyptians viewed the world and how they fact checked the hieroglyphics on their papyrus.

Rachel Iacovone is a reporter and associate producer of Gulf Coast Live for WGCU News. Rachel came to WGCU as an intern in 2016, during the presidential race.
